Early Intervention

The Early Intervention Program serves infants and toddlers, ages birth to three years, who have cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, visual or hearing impairment, a presence of a delay in areas of development or other physical challenges. 

Community Healthlink, Inc.’s Early Intervention program is the only licensed program in the Fitchburg/Leominster area that serves children, from birth to age three, who are developmentally delayed or at risk for delay. The Early Intervention Program serves infants and toddlers from 15 cities and towns in North Central Massachusetts.
Services include: screening, assessments, home visits or center-based individual services, parent support groups, children’s community groups, parenting skills training, developmental monitoring, family/individual counseling, and transition to local school programs. 

A multidisciplinary team of specialists includes: Child development and education specialists, speech/language specialists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers, nurse specialists, visual specialists, and psychologists.
