The Child Abuse Prevention and Protection Collaborative (CAPPC) is a partnership of parents, community based agencies and state agencies established to engage the community in the prevention of child abuse and to improve access to services for victimized children and their families. It focuses on training nurses, social workers and health educators to teach parents about the proper way to cope with infants and the dangers of shaking a baby.
CAPPC’s mission is to develop and support an infrastructure that includes effective community-based prevention and education programs that provide a continuum of care for these children and their families.
