In 1985 Community Healthlink, Inc. constructed an independent living program for adults with long-term mental illness. Since then, many more residential programs have been established to meet the needs of people with histories of mental illness, substance abuse and homelessness. More than 400 hundred people now receive services and support through a variety of residential programs. These include group living, outreach and supportive housing, transitional and respite, and independent living programs
