SOAP - Structured Outpatient Addictions Program

SOAP provides a structured intervention in the community for clients with addictions and co-occurring disorders. SOAP offers treatment groups and individual counseling in a full-day, structured program which is presented Monday through Friday. Case management and aftercare planning are also provided for this four-week program.

The goal of the program is to help clients develop a recovery plan that addresses sobriety in the context of their existing support systems at home, work or school. The recovery plan will help clients develop and use the resources available to achieve and maintain sobriety. This includes aftercare plans that prepare the individual for ongoing treatment.

The program also serves as a pathway to continuity of care for individuals discharged from other detoxification programs into stable living situations. SOAP is also appropriate for individuals whose symptoms indicate a need for more structured and intensive addiction treatment than what can be provided in regular outpatient counseling.
