The Emergency Service unit is available 7 days per week, 24 hours per day to provide on-site or mobile assessment and screening to any individual experiencing a mental health or substance abuse problem, or both. The Emergency Service unit offers assistance to people in the communities of Leominster, Fitchburg, Ayer, Clinton and Gardner. Services are provided to children, adolescents, and adults. Emergency Services includes respite beds for people referred by the Department of Mental Health who are experiencing situational crisis or pronounced transitional issues. It also includes crisis stabilization beds as a diversion to hospitalization.
Community Healthlink, Inc.'s Emergency Services program adheres to the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership Performance specifications. Masters level clinicians conduct all face-to-face evaluations. All clinicians have expertise in emergency evaluations and knowledge of medical, legal, emergency and community services available to individuals served. Clinical staff has access to an on-call psychiatrist and a senior clinical manager. Clinicians thoroughly assess issues of suicide, homicide, inability to care for self, and impairment in judgement. |
