The goal of Community Healthlink's School Support Services program is to provide the best possible evidence-based mental health services to students in need. Our clinicians also provide consultation, training, and support to school staff and parents as they learn to interact more effectively with children who are experiencing emotional and behavior difficulties that interfere with their ability to succeed in school and with interpersonal relationships. School Support Services staff are master’s level, licensed clinicians who offer services is more than 50 public schools in Central Massachusetts.

Services include:
•    On-site individual counseling for children and adolescents
•    Consultation to school personnel
•    Family consultation
•    Access to clinic based psychiatry services as needed
•    Training for school personnel
•    School and parent education regarding mental health needs and behavior management strategies to maximize student success
•    Providing information and referral for additional support services as needed

School Support clinicians are skilled at developing a link between parents and educators and developing strategies to encourage and enable collaborative work toward shared solutions. We use a nurturing and disciplined approach to help at-risk children, their teachers, and their families to identify strengths and positive options that will assist them as they work toward their individualized goals.
