CHL Lipton Early Intervention Program
100 Erdman Way
Leominster, MA 01453
Community Healthlink’s Early Intervention staff have provided family-centered, community-based services for generations of infants, toddlers, and families since 1973.
Children ages birth to three may be eligible for Early Intervention services if they have identified disabilities, or if typical development is at risk because of certain birth or environmental circumstances.
Early Intervention (EI) services include:
• Developmental assessments
• Home visiting or center-based services
• Service coordination
• Specialty services
• Play groups
• Parent support groups
• Developmental monitoring
Early Intervention promotes participation in everyday activities with peers by providing services in “natural settings,” such as the family’s home, childcare centers, community play groups, and public libraries.
Services are provided by a team of professionals who respect the child’s family as important and valued members of the team.
The Early Intervention team includes:
• Developmental specialist
• Occupational therapist
• Physical therapist
• Speech and language pathologist
• Social worker
• Nursing and/or other specialty provider
The highest quality of service is assured through adherence to professional standards of operation and supervision. EI specialists are caring and dedicated individuals who incorporate the following core values into their professional practice: respect for the uniqueness of individuals and cultures, and individualization of services for each family.
