Developmental Disabilities Unit (DDU)

The Developmental Disabilities Unit is a multi-disciplinary team of licensed clinicians who provide outpatient mental health services to adults with developmental disabilities.

Clinical teams in Fitchburg and Worcester provide specialized mental health treatment to individuals who are dually diagnosed with intellectual disabilities and emotional, psychiatric or behavioral disorders.

The Developmental Disabilities Unit provides the following services:

  • Assessment and treatment planning
  • Individual, group, couples/family therapy
  • Skills training
  • Behavioral consultation
  • Medication evaluation and monitoring
  • Case management, crisis intervention
  • Referrals for continuing care
  • Psychiatric day treatment services in Fitchburg

 

DDU Professional Staff Includes:

  • Physicians and Advanced
  • Practice Nurses
  • Licensed Social Workers
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselors
  • Psychiatric Nurses

Program services are covered by most insurance plans. Service recipients are responsible for co-pays and deductibles associated with their insurance plan.
