Community Healthlink’s Adult Outpatient Counseling Centers provide caring, professional, and integrated primary care and behavioral health services for individuals with behavioral health concerns, with a specialization in service to those with a serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder in Worcester County. 

Services available at our Adult Outpatient Counseling Centers include: individual, family, or group psychotherapy, psychiatric consultation and medication management, urgent care, primary care, and wellness services.

Some conditions that may lead individuals to seek our service include:
• Depression
• Schizophrenia
• Bipolar disorder
• Post-traumatic stress disorder
• Anxiety
• Schizoaffective disorder
• Recent discharge from a psychiatric hospital
• Alcohol or other drug problems

The Outpatient Treatment Team includes Psychiatrists, Advanced Practice Nurses, Nurses, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Psychologists, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, and other masters level clinicians trained and experienced in the care of those with mental health and/or substance use conditions, with specialization in work with those with serious mental health concerns and substance use disorders.

We work closely with Primary Care Physicians, area hospitals, and the Departments of Mental Health and Developmental Services to coordinate care (as applicable). Services are available in Spanish, Vietnamese and English.

Services
Outpatient clinical services include:

• Screening for appropriateness and eligibility
• Intake and program orientation
• Comprehensive assessment
• Treatment planning
• Individual, group, family, and couples therapy
• Medication evaluation and monitoring
• Health and wellness education
• Urgent care
• Primary care
• Care management, care coordination, and referrals when
  needed
• Consultation with other professionals
• Outreach

Clients are self-referred, as well as referred by primary health clinicians, hospitals, in-patient behavioral health programs, the Department of Mental Health, the Department of Developmental Services, and other professionals.

Fees are covered by MassHealth, Medicare, and most health insurance plans. Service recipients are responsible for co-pays and deductibles associated with their insurance plan.
